Fill the gaps so every neighbouring pair makes a word or a familiar two-word term.
Tap a word to place it. Tap a gap to choose where it goes, or to send its word back.
How it works
Each word must go with the word above and the word below, either as one word (CROSS + FIRE makes CROSSFIRE) or as a familiar term (BEST + FRIEND makes BEST FRIEND). You only see the first and last words, so all five gaps have to work together.
Many of the sixteen words join with something on the board, but only one arrangement completes the whole chain. On Tricky and Hard puzzles, at least one answer fits in two different gaps.
After each check: right word, right place. right word, wrong place (it stays orange in the grid). not in today's chain (it may still be a real word), and it's greyed out in the grid. You have three checks.
